Nepal Policy Institute (NPI) Executive Director

NPI (www.nepalpolicyinstitute.org) is an international think-tank and a knowledge-platform dedicated to the people-centered and sustainable development of Nepal and Nepali people, including diaspora Nepali. NPI is a forum of Nepal origin public policy scholars, researchers, practitioners, experts, and consultants across the globe, in collaboration and partnership with people and institutions anywhere and everywhere working in the interest of Nepal and Nepali people, including diaspora Nepali. This is a borderless organisation working and connecting people in the cloud, land, and the space in between.
NPI is an independent not-for-profit, non-party political, non-religious, and non-governmental organization with the mission to provide and promote the knowledge and public discourse about public policy for prosperity, peace, and sustainable development of Nepal and Nepali people anywhere and everywhere. NPI is a fully independent and autonomous international organization, registered in the Netherlands and governed by a volunteer Board which is in the process of further expansion.
The NPI Executive Director is the chief executive and management head of the organization with the overall role and responsibility of leading and managing the staff team, strategy development and implementation, financial-intellectual-social resources mobilization, and external representation. The Executive Director reports to the Board of NPI.
This is a full- time position based, preferably, in Nepal and offers a comparable benefits package and excellent working environment. We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, adaptive, digitally savvy, and networker leader with
- Higher education in development or management or social science subject
- Over 2-3 years of experience in public policy teaching, research, or practice
- Depth of understanding and experience of a national, regional, and global issue, institutions and politics
- Excellent research, analysis and writing and communication competencies
