Nepal Policy Institute firmly believes that the role of policy think tanks is crucial in shaping and informing government policies to create a more inclusive and democratic society.</span></p>
<p class="western" lang="en-AU" align="justify"><span style="font-family: Arial, serif;">As part of our commitment to supporting the ECN&#8217;s efforts, NPI has an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Election Commission of Nepal. This partnership will enable us to work together more closely and effectively toward achieving our shared goals of promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability in Nepal&#8217;s electoral process.</span></p>

<p>Nepal is pursuing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as set by UN. In this regard, NPI has been conducting a project to review Nepal progress’s on SDG4 as a part of Voluntary National Review (VNR) initiated by SDG National Network Nepal. This review will outline the progress made in the past 5 years, challenges ahead and action to be taken eventually informing CSOs, Government and UN agencies. </p>

<p>This project aimed to inform the Nepal government to adjust the investment policies to achieve the national goals and priorities. The study adopted to conduct consultations within residential and Nepali diaspora scholars, economists and business managers in Nepal, North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. The study planned to review best practices looking into the foreign investment policies adopted by the countries in the South-East Asia region which is a hub of economic growth of this century. Eventually the study produces the alternative Foreign Investment Bill of Nepal 2019 and shares to public.</p>
